FSC - SOCIAL RESPONSABILITY The FSC logo identifies products which contains wood from well managed forests certified in accordance with the FSC Principles and Criteria. For more than 20 years, Union Veneers has recognised its responsibility to succeeding generations by a policy of sourcing product from sustained, manageable resources. It led the way in the 1980s with a unilateral approach and the issue of its “Green booklet” giving confidence to both customers and end users.   More recently, amidst greater world awareness, a number of organisations have emerged promoting the ecology of the planet. We believed that FSC has the philosophy closest to our original ideas and have been members for more than 10 years. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international organization that brings people together to find solutions which promote responsible stewardship of the world’s forests. Its trademark provides international recognition to organisations that support the growth of responsible forest management.   We have also chosen to work with the Timber Research and Development Association (TRADA) as the certifying body, as they provide a local resource backed by an ongoing commitment for the development of Timber products.
