UV GROUP TODAY The Group operates internationally with offices or representation in over 30 countries over the continents manufacturing and selling wood veneer, lumber and furniture products. Initially founded as a veneer manufacturer and trader the Group expanded into USA production in the 1980s and European production some 15 years later. Recognising that the ultimate veneer quality is dependent on the quality of the logs manufactured, the Group has always had its own team of log buyers who source according to the customer’s requirements. Together, with the latest technologically and advanced equipment, we are able to ensure that our knowledgeable and experienced skills, adhere to our consistent quality standards.  The UK headquarters was founded in 1962 and UV became a Public Listed Company in 1989. Today, we remain financially strong and successful under the same family management and control. With a constant eye to efficiency through reinvention and by fostering a culture of change our operations have vertically integrated into manufacturing semi finished products (layons and edging) and finished products (furniture). The success of the newly formed Furniture Division has exceeded all expectations and continues to grow in new directions through the combination of experience in wood finishes and innovative design. Keen lead times from our Eastern European manufacturing base have been recognised and furniture is now supplied to City Institutions and major Hotel chains. Operating at an international level, expertise gained in trading, shipping and finance led to the expansion of a diverse trading division in parallel to the veneer operations.
