FSC - the mark of responsible forestry

Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®)

All of our veneer products are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®). The wood we sell is tracked at every step of the production process - from the forest to the store - ensuring that it meets FSC standards at each juncture.

The FSC forest management certification confirms that a forest is being managed in a way that preserves biological diversity and benefits the lives of local people and workers, while ensuring it sustains economic viability.

In order to receive FSC accreditation, a forest operation must adhere to ten principles covering a broad range of issues - from maintaining high conservation values to supporting the local community and protecting workers’ rights, as well as monitoring the environmental and social impacts of the forest management.

FSC is the only wood certification scheme endorsed by major environmental charities, including WWF & Greenpeace.

BM TRADA Chain of Custody

Chain of custody certification provides independently-verified assurance that the wood used originates from responsibly sourced forests and that the material has been tracked through every stage of the process from forest to end-user.

By implementing and maintaining a robust chain of custody system, companies can provide assurances to suppliers and clients that their products are sourced and produced in compliance with the highest ecological, social and economic standards.
